The vain woman will suffer anything to look good. The corset, a tightly fitting undergarment, molds the woman’s body into a perfect figure so that clothes worn over it will appear a great fit. It is uncomfortable, to say the least. But since it reduces some inches from the waist and pushes some body parts up, thereby creating the ‘just right’ look, it is still in use. Plus size corsets are common because it is the plus size woman who needs it most.
You will find a whole range of corsets in the market. Most are meant to be sexy and are used to entrap men into a romantic encounter. Others are worn for medical reasons. They are worn by women who are so fragile they need back support. Whatever the reason, a corset will remain a mainstay in a woman’s drawer.
